Attorney and sexual abuse Survivor Advocate expose Cardinal (then Bishop) Theodore McCarrick’s interstate transfer of pedophile priest Fr. Romano Ferraro

Known serial predator priest Father Romano Ferraro, a priest originally of the Brooklyn Diocese was transferred to NJ parish after his abuses were already known to church officials and was not listed on the Metuchen Diocese listing of credibly accused priests.

He was repeatedly transferred to Diocese in Florida, The Phillipines, West Virginia, Carolinas, and NJ where he continued to abuse children.  Early in his ministry he served as a Naval military chaplain in Key West, Florida and was dishonorably discharged for abuses of children committed there.   This admitted serial pedophile and convicted felon along with many other diocesan priests (we will disclose others not listed as well) was omitted from the listing NJ’s bishops recently released.

The attorney representing several of his victims will produce damning documents [click to view documents] regarding church official’s knowledge of his serial abuses prior to his many transfers.  Further he continued to abuse children when he was transferred to NJ.  He served as an associate pastor here at St John Vianney Parish in Colonia where he is alleged to have abused 2 children.  Two other diocesan clerics were also stationed here and not listed by the Metuchen Diocese on their list of credibly accused clerics.

Father Ferraro was charged and convicted of raping a 7 year old boy for 3 years and sentenced to life in prison but is up for parole and could be released as early as April 9, 2019.
