Retired 1999. Removed from active ministry 5/09 after allegations in 2007 & 2008 that he sexually abused two minor boys while assigned to St. Mark’s parish in Chicago. Accusers did not want to testify before review board because they were afraid Maloney would sue them; they went ahead and testified in 2009. Review board completed investigation & found allegations credible. Matter referred to the Vatican for further action.
