Weglarz was the Scout Master of Troop 294 at Douglas Park Evangelical Covenant Church. His Assistant Scout Master, Charles Fugate, also has an IV File and was also charged with sexual crimes against a boy scout. Weglarz was charged with molesting an 11 year-old boy during a campout at the Thunderbird Camp Grounds in Du Page County.
